I want to do a static brochure site but incorporate an events listing. I thought a google calendar would be a good idea.
Google has made everything a bit more complicated with all their maps and calendars and stuff of late so. It’s actually really annoying how complicated things are – you even have to get developer API to embed a basic google map these days. Seems a bit un user friendly to me. Facebook have also gone that route.
After trying lots of different ways and wasting ages I found one solution that was fairly easy to implement:

This needs just a standard browser api key and google calendar enabled. Works great!
