Chili Sauce Recipe

Delicious way to preserve an abundance of chillis and tomatoes.

5 big ripe tomatoes peeled and cored
2 onions chopped roughly
10 big green chili peppers cored seeded and chopped (or a mix of green and red)
100g sugar
250ml cider vinegar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1tsp ground cloves
1tsp mustard powder
½ tsp (or more) cayenne pepper
2 tsp salt

Blitz the tomatoes onions and peppers in a food processor or chop them small

Put them in a pan, dissolve the sugar and then simmer for about 30 minutes.

If you bottle it in sterile vinegar bottles it keeps for ages and ages.
